Wayside's Western Fiesta Highlights
the Florida Baptist Children’s Home in 2012
(Miami, Fl) This October 31st Wayside Baptist Church will be hosting Wayside’s Western Fiesta the 14th anniversary of their Halloween alternative event. This year the Fiesta will be highlighting the Florida Baptist Children’s Home whose property is adjacent to Wayside Baptist Church. There will be tours and information available regarding their 54years of ministry in the Miami community. Wayside’s Western Fiesta will take place on Halloween night--Wednesday, October 31st from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
This year’s event is bigger and better than ever. Activities will be held indoors and outdoors. Activities include bounce houses, mechanical rides, pony rides, and a rock climbing wall. Food from local area restaurants and Wayside’s delicious Chi-Fritos (chili in a bag of Fritos) will be available at reasonable prices for families to eat at the indoor food court. As always there are games and activities for children of all ages and lots of CANDY!
Wayside Baptist Church holds this annual event for the purpose of providing a fun and safe event for people of all ages to gather and enjoy a western themed party. There will be no scary masks, monsters or skeletons being highlighted at this event. All rides and games are free. Admission is one bag of individually wrapped candy. Florida Baptist Children’s Homes is a ministry of the Florida Baptist Convention and has been serving children and families in Florida since 1904. The Miami campus was opened in 1958 and services school age children that have been abandoned, neglected, abused and orphaned. The children are served in two residential cottages were our goal is to give each child a safe and loving home environment. In addition to the children on campus we also serve children through our Foster Care program, Adoption program and Safe Families program.
