It’s been an exciting summer for our church and for many of our members. Wayside just celebrated their 50th Anniversary with a weekend long celebration (8/11 - 8/12) that included a wonderful dinner on Saturday night, followed by a great music concert and DVD slide show of pictures dating back to the beginning years of Wayside. There was more special music on Sunday and the first pastor of Wayside, Dr. Bill Hinson preached the sermon. It was a most enjoyable event! Many of our members have been on fabulous vacations this summer. Glenda went to the annual Mikell Family Reunion in Georgia. She saw many family members and got to stay in a hundred year old house in the country. She enjoyed quiet time at the beach, walking the shore and swimming in the ocean. ~Jena and Anita stayed at Fort Myers beach with their family. They had a wonderful time relaxing on the beach and celebrating Logan’s birthday (nephew of Jena/grandson of Anita). ~Martin traveled to Venezuela to see his family. Eva Bendana went with him to meet Martin’s family. ~Bobby Bernat visited his brother in Fort Lauderdale and had a good time. ~Guy Lenoble has been staying with his sister while recovering from surgery. ~Congratulations to Lizzie Bucalo’s family! Her mom got married on July 9th. ~ Billy Joe and Elena hauled some more heavy equipment and other stuff from their garage to Tennessee in a big trailer. Thank the Lord they made it there and back safely.
We praise God for the opportunity to minister to these faithful men serving God and their country with their very lives. Please continue to keep them in your prayers.
